This is the first time that Ford has allowed it's powerhouse 360hp & 420lbs/ft V6 Twin Turbo inside a regular cab truck! This Eco-boost engine gives you all of the V8 power you crave with the V6 fuel economy you want. Enjoy class leading power in a short wheelbase truck!
Bucket seats and full centre console in a Regular Cab truck!
For the first time ever Ford has stepped up and offered a premium interior experience in a Regular Cab truck! Normally this feature is reserved for FX2 or FX4 (and greater) series trucks with a Super or Crew cab only. Not to mention the seats on this F-150 Tremor are nice leather/suede with accented piping. It's basically a FX series interior, and it looks great!
HID's and 20inch Rims on a Regular Cab truck!
These two features go hand in hand with the FX series 2013 trucks that we see on the lot, but wow does it ever look sharp on a regular cab! Long story short here - you're getting a regular cab FX series truck.
Breaking down the new 2014 F-150 Tremor
There are a lot of firsts that Ford is claiming on this new truck - it's just that - 'new'. Of course there will be firsts. What I like most about this truck is the 4:10 rear axle. What that means to you is more off-the-line acceleration and tire roasting power! It's the shortest final drive ratio that Ford has ever put on a Eco-boost motor, so rest assured you're getting a maxed out stock performance truck!
The new 2014 Tremor is quite literally a FX-Series regular cab F-150. It's a great step in the right direction as regular cabs have been neglected for some time; they needed this attention! It will be available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive and should hit the lots by the end of the year. No word yet on pricing.
Here's Ford's press release:
