 Outside Wholesale Parts Sales Specialist

Petrie Ford has been Kingston’s Ford Store for 68 years.  The parts department is the largest of its kind between Toronto and Montreal. With a million plus in inventory and a 10,000 sq/ft warehouse, we stock and deliver Ford and many brands of heavy truck parts to most dealers and shops within a 200km radius. We employ dedicated internal sales agents to take orders over the phone, and are currently seeking one additional external account managers to bring in new wholesale clients and maintain current wholesale accounts. 

We have a very healthy and vibrant wholesale portfolio, we keep Petrie Ford (Kingston areas largest retail and heavy truck service department) stocked with the parts needed to drive exceptional customer satisfaction. This is not your average parts department, as such we’re seeking highly experienced and motivated candidates to take on this demanding and rewarding position.

Summary

Among many responsibilities, the Whole Account Manager will: Engage energetically to find new wholesale accounts via cold calling and relationship building while maximizing the sales potential of existing accounts and providing top-notch customer service.

 

Essential Duties

-          Leads and supports the drive to build a Sales Obsessed Culture by providing an exceptional customer experience.

-          Proactively provides resolution as required to commercial customer issues and displaying critical problem solving.

-          Supports the entire parts sales team by providing customer service support.

-          Proactively generates sales through all tools provided which includes regular communication and support as well as flyers and promotional programs.

-          Manages execution of delivery of product in a timely manner. 

-          Provide a weekly client acquisition and cold call list to the manager and the step you’ve taken to achieve them.

-          Assess and agree on a weekly sales goal with the department manager and your mutual plan to achieve it.

Required Skills

-          Great understanding of automotive and heavy truck parts with the ability to communicate in the language that our valued clients understand.

-          3 + years experience as a commissioned sales associate with experience as an “outside” sales representative.

-          Strong computer skills:  MS Office (Excel knowledge a must), Google Docs, various internet applications and vendor pages, MicroCAT Live, DTNA Connect, OEC Connection and smart phones.

-          Well written and a professional demeanor.

-          Able to multitask and balance a large number of accounts over a vast territory.

-          Must have a full ‘G’ driver’s license and clean driving abstract.

-          Outspoken, ambitious and able to present ideas, products and services.

-          Ability to interpret technical schematics and parts catalogues.

-          Work references required

Requirements:
Successful candidates must have previously worked in commissioned sales and understand the responsibility of creating business and being highly self motivated. Candidates understand that this is a full-time career - at 40 hours a week - and will be required to work weekdays and occasional Saturdays.

Detailer

Petrie Ford is looking for an energetic ‘go getter’ to join our team of highly-skilled reconditioners who prepare vehicles for delivery to customers and to display on the lot.

This is a full-time position that works 8am-5pm from Monday to Friday:

Duties include – not limited to:

  • Detailing inventory vehicles to be released for sale on the lot;
  • Detailing inventory vehicles to be delivered to clients;
  • Applying / installing various after-sale products onto vehicles;
  • Assisting in lot maintenance;
  • Driving inventory and customer vehicles to third-party companies.

Skills / Requirements:

  • Must have a valid/clean ‘G’ license;
  • Experience detailing is an asset but not required (will train the right applicant);
  • Have an eye for particulars with respect to properly ‘detailing’ a vehicle;
  • Able to work on your feet for the entire day;
  • Independent and able to identify your next task with minimal supervision;
  • Able to take direction from a variety of departments and then prioritize responsibilities.

 Lube and Tire Technician

Petrie Ford is seeking an experienced and motivated team player to complement our team of successful technicians. The Lube and Tire Technician performs preventative and light maintenance on vehicles and experience in this position is an asset. For the right candidate, we are willing to train.

Most of our most successful Master Technicians began their career as a Lube and Tire Technician. We are happy to invest in career oriented individuals who seek a lucrative career as a licensed automotive technician.

Full Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Occasional Saturday's 8am to 2pm.

Duties Include – not limited to:

  • Tire repairs
  • Tire / Rim construction, deconstruction, balancing and mounting.
  • Oil changes
  • Basic repairs / General required maintenance (ie. Light bulb changes, air filters, etc)
  • Installation of after-market products.
  • Shop assistance with various labour duties.
  • Assisting licensed technicians when required.

Requirements

  • An interest in long term apprenticeship/career
  • Basic tools (impact gun, wrenches and socket set among other tools).
  • Clean, Class ‘G’ license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical skills
  • Punctual, professional, and hard working
