Wage: Starting rate of $32 per hour with the potential to make up to $40 an hour with our Bonus Program 

Petrie Ford is family run and has been Kingston's Ford Store since 1949. Our service department is one of the largest in the area with plenty of work to go around. We also have the largest parts warehouse in the region to support our technicians in maximizing their flat rate hours. 
 

Responsibilities Include -- but not limited to:

  •  Diagnose, test, and repair a wide range of vehicle types
  • Adhere to quality repair standards and Ford's 'fix it right the first time' metrics
  • Assisting others as a key player on our team of skilled techs
  • Keep accurate notes and recordings of time spent and diagnoses
  • Able to lift at least 50lbs on a daily basis
  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation
  • Reporting to and performing the tasks directed by the Service Manager
  • Professionally liaising with service advisors and fellow technician effectively and efficiently

Requirements Include:

  • 310S Certification (will consider 310A and 310T), preferable with Ford experience
  • Strong technical and electronic experience preferred
  • Ability to proactively problem-solve and think logically
  • Independently perform necessary diagnostics and repairs
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with others within a team
  • Good computer knowledge and skills, preferably using PBS Dealer Management System
  • Valid driver's license

Petrie Ford is seeking an experienced and motivated team player to complement our team of successful technicians. The Lube and Tire Technician performs preventative and light maintenance on vehicles and experience in this position is an asset. For the right candidate, we are willing to train. Most of our most successful Master Technicians began their career as a Lube and Tire Technician. We are happy to invest in career oriented individuals who seek a lucrative career as a licensed automotive technician.

Full Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Occasional Saturday's 8am to 2pm.

Responsibilities Include -- but not limited to:

  • Tire repairs
  • Tire / Rim construction, deconstruction, balancing and mounting
  • Oil changes
  • Basic repairs / General required maintenance (ie. Light bulb changes, air filters, etc)
  • Installation of after-market products
  • Shop assistance with various labour duties
  • Assisting licensed technicians when required

Requirements Include:

  • An interest in long term apprenticeship/career
  • Basic tools (impact gun, wrenches and socket set among other tools) 
  • Clean, Class 'G' license 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical skills
  • Punctual, professional, and hard working

The Parts Advisor is responsible for creating great first impressions and guides the customers through the acquisition of the correct parts (and any additional or secondary parts required).

The Parts Advisor is a great listener and is a master at executing all the parts counter duties with due diligence and customer service and safety in mind. The Parts Advisor has a keen eye for "the details" and strives to be a product knowledge expert ensuring the dealership provides each customer with a personalized service experience.

The Parts Advisor builds strong relationships with customers in an effort to achieve sales targets and utilizes the tools provided to ensure all customers keep coming back to the dealership.

The Parts Advisor upholds the dealerships' standards and values so that the customer is fully satisfied through every interaction with the parts department. As a team player, the Parts Advisor fosters excellent relationships with personnel in all areas of the dealership.

Develops and Maintains Strong Relationships with Customers

  • Greet customers on the phone or in the Dealership promptly and in a courteous manner
  • Address customer questions/needs promptly and professionally
  • Deals with customer concerns as a first priority
  • Provide customers with personalized service
  • Handle customer complaints and ensures high customer satisfaction standards

Parts Experience

  • Identify parts needs of customer vehicle based upon historical and customer driven data
  • Asks appropriate questions to ensure the parts requirements are diagnosed correctly
  • Provide repair and maintenance recommendations to the customer where appropriate
  • Advise customers of estimated costs and delivery/ arrival time of parts ( as required)
  • Handle phone inquiries and return phone messages promptly
  • Advise customers on the care of their cars and value of maintaining their vehicle in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and warranty maintenance, as appropriate
  • Can lift in excess of 50 lbs, repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Maintains required data for parts inventory, shipments and deliveries.

  • Actively maintain the cleanliness of personal and team workspaces.
